Asano Atsuko’s (No. 6’s author) other work, Battery.

- Sypnosis:

A story about a teenage pitcher and catcher who develop a firm friendship through their battery. Harada Takumi, an aloof junior high school boy who has a great arm, meets Nagakura Go, who can catch Takumi’s fastball. Together, they build up a trusting relationship among the teammates.

There was also a J-drama but I hope the manga gets noticed more and a scanlation team picks it up.

More fabulously heterosexual “friendship” stories from Asano Atsuko are always welcome. So damn hetero that the two male leads call each other “husband” and “wife”.
